What We Do
Rebuilding confidence and independence
through community & connection.
Mosaic Clubhouse supports adults living with mental illness to move forward in their recovery. Based in Brixton, we provide a structured and welcoming environment where people can rebuild routine, develop practical skills and reconnect with their community.
Open 365 days a year, Mosaic offers consistent support that helps reduce isolation and creates real opportunities for people to regain confidence and purpose.
A strengths-based & non-clinical approach to recovery.
At Mosaic, we focus on people’s abilities, not diagnoses. Our approach is built on dignity, belonging and shared responsibility. Members and staff work side by side to run the Clubhouse, creating a community where everyone has something to contribute.
Recovery is not something that happens in isolation. By taking part in daily activities and decision-making, members build confidence, develop relationships and take meaningful steps towards independence.
Recovery through meaningful activity.
A typical day at Mosaic is known as the Work-Ordered Day. Members choose to take part in the running of the Clubhouse through real roles and responsibilities. This might include welcoming visitors at reception, preparing subsidised lunches in the café, supporting administration tasks, maintaining the building or helping in the garden.
These activities provide structure and routine, while also helping people develop teamwork, communication and practical skills that can support future goals.
Building skills & opportunities for the future.
Mosaic supports members to explore education, volunteering and employment opportunities at their own pace. Through goal-setting, training and partnerships with local organisations, members can begin to move towards work or study when
they feel ready.
This progression-focused approach helps people rebuild confidence and see new possibilities for their future.
Support that people can rely on
Mental health recovery is not linear, and many people experience periods of crisis or increased isolation. Mosaic provides a consistent, safe and welcoming community where people know they can return at any time.
Alongside daytime recovery support, our Evening Sanctuary offers a calm, non-clinical space for people experiencing mental distress outside standard service hours. Together, these services help ensure that no one faces mental health challenges alone.
Our Vision & Purpose
At Mosaic, everything we do is shaped by a simple belief: people living with mental health challenges can and do lead meaningful, connected lives.
We create opportunities for people to build confidence, develop skills and be part of a supportive community, moving forward at their own pace.
-
That people with mental health challenges achieve their potential and are respected as co-workers, neighbours and friends.
-
All people, no matter how severely affected by mental health challenges, have the potential to be productive and have the right to dignified and meaningful relationships.
-
To assist in the recovery of people who are living with mental health challenges by providing members with opportunities to work and learn by contributing their talents to a community of mutual support.
-
Mosaic aims to provide opportunities for individuals, who have been socially and vocationally disadvantaged by mental health, to regain the confidence and skills necessary to lead productive and satisfying lives.
