Janet's Story: No internet access but not forgotten
I have been staying at home for more than 3 months now. In the first six weeks I read 1984 and thought that was what was going to happen. But as the days went by, I went to Brixton and saw people on the street. Then on my daily walk when I was going to Streatham common I saw a lot of people sunbathing and playing with their children, so I knew things were not going to be as bad as 1984. My days are passed by watching food programmes on TV, reading, going for walks, shopping and watching my neighbours having BBQ’s and playing reggae music. I am pleased to have staff from Mosaic phone me during lockdown, it makes me feel that I have people who care about me. I don’t have a laptop or a smartphone, so I felt cut off from everything and everyone. A big thank you to everyone at Mosaic who phones me during lockdown.
