I Felt a part of something

My name is Neville and I have been a member here since a few weeks ago. I was nervous at first, even to come in. But I need to socialize with people, so I gave it a go. I was very surprised how welcoming people were and that gave me confidence to get involved. I am keen to learn new skills so I can get back into work eventually after a long gap.

I struggle most days to motivate myself, but having been in Mosaic a short time, I find that I am coping a lot better with life. I cannot wait to gain new knowledge and to meet more people, as my biggest problem is lack of confidence and low self-esteem. So far I have been helping with little things in the Employment, Education & Information unit, but I hope as time progresses I will be involved in a variety of different tasks.

I can’t praise this place enough, also its community and welcoming attitude for helping me to feel better.
