I began to find my life again

Before I started my TEP, I was happily helping in the units at Mosaic Clubhouse doing any and everything that there was to do i.e., entering data in the computer, working at the reception, letting people in the building and taking telephone calls. I also helped in the café, cooking, and serving meals.

The support that I get from Mosaic clubhouse is amazing. The staff at the clubhouse are very professional and helpful. They are always there when you need them. I was supported with using the computer for things that I did not know how to do before I went there. I got a lot of support to help build my self-confidence as I did not have a lot of confidence prior to starting there. A lot of support was also given to me to help me deal with my mental health issues and other general concerns that I had.

Before the TEP I was very anxious because I was out of work for a very long time and therefore was not sure how I would handle being out in the workplace after such a long time. However, after a few weeks, I began to enjoy being out and regained my confidence. My role during the TEP is to work on the reception taking telephone calls, letting people in the building, making room bookings for clients and ordering stock for the office. Starting my TEP has impacted my mental health in a very positive way. I was very isolated for a very long time and never wanted to leave the house, but since I was referred to Mosaic Clubhouse, I began to find my life back again, meeting with people and interacting with different people and sharing my mental health experience.

"I was very isolated for a very long time and never wanted to leave the house, but since I was referred to Mosaic Clubhouse, I began to find my life back again"

After my TEP I plan to look for either another TEP or look for part- time work so I can continue to build my self-confidence. I have gained a lot of benefits from going to Mosaic and starting my TEP, my life has changed in a very positive way. I have learnt a lot and I try to fit everything that I have learnt in my everyday life. I try to share some of what I have learnt with other people who are in similar situation that I was in as well.
