Giving back - being part of the Hospital In-reach project

Some of our hospital In-reach team, who visit patients at Lambeth Hospital and help them make connections in the community to support them once they are discharged.

One member, who wishes to remain anonymous, writes:

I have had the experience of being sectioned myself at Lambeth hospital and I found it the most traumatic and unpleasant experience of my life. I was very nervous about voluntarily going back into the hospital to do in-reach, but I wanted to provide support for patients. I found the external services that came in very helpful when I was a patient and I wanted to give some of that back.

Going to the hospital with Angela wasn't nerve wracking at all and I felt safe and supported. I had some good experiences of offering hope to patients of a time outside hospital and telling them about the support that Mosaic offers.  I really hope this project can keep going, I think it is invaluable.
