Happy to be back at Mosaic again

My name is Louise, I have been a member of Mosaic Clubhouse for over two years, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.

The club was sadly closed for several months in 2020 due to the pandemic and I found it very hard to cope at home having to isolate and not interact with other people.

Since the clubhouse reopened in April, I felt a sense of relief knowing that I could get out again after such a long time in isolation to see and interact with people again.

I have benefitted a lot from Mosaic. It has given me the opportunity to get involve in various activities such as entering data on the computer, booking slots for members and helping at the reception area taking phone calls and letting members and visitors in and out of the building.

I have also gained a lot of confidence from taking part in these activities which is a step in the right direction for me as I did not have the confidence to do it before I start attending the club. I also got the opportunity to pursue a computer course which is going very well for me.

I managed to secure part-time work in a Transitional Employment Placement as an Admin Assistant, which I was enjoying but is now on hold due to the pandemic. I am looking forward to continuing as soon as it restarts.

I am beginning to get used to the new normal as in practicing social distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing my hands and the area in which I work on a regular basis.

The staff at Mosaic are very professional and show respect to each and everyone that comes through the doors. They are very helpful and will listen to my concerns and try to find a solution.

My experience at Mosaic is a very good one and I appreciate the fact that I was able to get involved. I hope to be a part of the organization for as long as I can.
